Crazy spam filters

So I was checking my dashboard on here tonight and realized I had a ton of “spam” comments that wordpress had “caught” for me.  Now, granted, most of them were in fact spam; however, there were a few that were honest comments that for whatever reason came through as spam.  I want to apologize to [...]

There be zombies ahead

I’d like to thank my buddy David for bringing this to my attention.
There be zombies ahead
Is the government trying to distract us from a contained zombie outbreak by talking about computer hackers?  Did a brave American risk the undead mob to get a solitary warning out?  Is Rosie O’Donnell really storing small children inside her [...]

One year and counting

So I just realized that this past Sunday, the 25th, was the one-year anniversary of my blog.  Happy belated birthday, blog!  I’ve had just over 2,700 hits, which works out to around 225 hits a month, or 7.5 hits per day.  Cool, people actually read what I write!  Sorry if it’s not as interesting as [...]

Let’s talk Honey

So for lunch today I made myself a peanut butter and honey sandwich.  It was, as you might assume, delicious!  I’ve been eating these for YEARS.  I remember looking foward to lunch in school because the honey would have soaked into the bread and started to harden.  That’s the best!  Don’t forget a large glass [...]

It’s a conspiracy, I tell you!

So my roommate has some good contacts down at Walter Reed military hospital. He gets a phone call telling him that he’s got an extra ticket to the military inaugural ball tomorrow night (he already has two tickets), and he asks me if I would like to go. Now, we all know how [...]

Here comes the Hope and Change

Let’s see, what’s been happening in the crazy world that is Obama’s “rise to power”?  Ah, here’s something:
Obama climate czar has socialist ties
Yep, Carol Browner, definitely a socialist.  Not just a “democrat with socialist leanings”, she’s full-blown socialist leadership!  Convenient how her name is all of a sudden disappearing from these organization role calls.  But [...]

Rest In Peace

On this past Friday, January 9th, 2009, my sole surviving blood grandmother, Madalyn Horst, passed away.  She was 81 years old and is survived by her husband, my grandfather, Irvin Horst, along with her 6 sons and 1 daughter.  The service was yesterday, Monday, January 12th, 2009.
May she rest in peace.

It’s an anniversary of sorts

Today was my three year mark for being in the Army.  Hooah for me.  *rolls eyes*  At least it’s January, which means pay raise.
Keep your powder dry.

Countdown to Violation

So, here’s a fun medical update.  I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ve got some stomach issues.  I have ever since the last half of December of 2006 (I’ll give you three guesses what happened then).  It’s not usually as bad as my knee pain, though, so I don’t talk about it [...]

And people think I’m crazy…

This was referred to me by my best buddy Keith.  He still thinks I’m crazy to think that the robot invasion is coming.
Coming to the Battlefield: Stone-Cold Robot Killers
Allow me to quote part of the article:
The robots of past science fiction were governed by Isaac Asimov’s Three Laws, which precluded bringing harm to humans. But [...]
