Ok guys, if you live in WV, please contact your State Senator and urge them to support Senate Bill 621. I blogged about the original passing of an ordinance in Martinsburg way back last year. Here’s a snippit from the NRA-ILA:
Senate Bill 621, introduced by Senator John Unger (D-16), is a technical clean up to the state’s preemption law. The bill will correct a small problem with a statute that was being exploited by the City of Martinsburg to ban the carrying and possession of firearms on all city-owned property. The passage of this bill will remove the confusing language and make Martinsburg’s ordinance null and void. SB 621 now resides in the Senate Judiciary Committee waiting for a vote.
