The Happening that Wasn’t

So, D, myself, and two of our KATUSA buddies went down to Seoul yesterday (Saturday) to see M. Night Shamalan’s “The Happening”. Previews for it looked pretty good, right? Why not go see a new horror mystery something-or-other?

DON’T! It was crap. SPOILER ALERT!!!

Guess who the antagonists are? Trees. Turns out the dwarves have been right all along. Ol’ Gia, Mother Nature herself, is out to get us if we congregate into groups larger than, say, four or five. But don’t worry, this is just a warning that we need to stop this whole killing the planet business. Nuclear energy, global warming, strip mines, the works. Yep, better stop it all or the flora of the planet will unite and make us kill ourselves. Oh, did I forget to mention that part? Yep, the plants give off some type of neurotoxin that makes us kill ourselves. No joke.

So now I have to watch for robots and the trees. And see, here I use to love being out in nature… oh… wait… it was a Shamalan movie. Nevermind. Where’s my axe?

Catch you on the flip side.
