The hope and change just keeps coming…

Obama Will Sign Spending Bill Despite Earmarks

How many broken or flip-flopped campaign pledges does this make for the Obamessiah now?  I mean, obviously this bailout is doing wonders for investors and the market, right?  Because spending more taxpayer money to bail out companies who make crap and can’t sell it, along with people who spend beyond their means, is a good thing.  I know I want my grandkids (when I have some) to still be paying off this debt when they’re finally of working age.

This is my favorite part:

Administration budget chief Peter Orszag and White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel both downplayed the $410 billion spending bill and signaled Obama would hold his nose and sign it. Orszag said: “We want to just move on. Let’s get this bill done, get it into law and move forward.

Said Emanuel: “That’s last year’s business.”

Yeah, let’s just go ahead and spend almost half a trillion dollars of taxpayers money and move on.  It’s old news.  Everyone knows we’re gonna do it anyway!

I’ve said it before, but we are so screwed.  You made your bed, Americans.  Now sleep in it.  Guess you should have payed attention to the old saying, “Don’t shit where you sleep.”

Keep your powder dry.
