Live action “Star Wars” show on hold

From an article I just read:

Looking forward to the “Star Wars” TV series? Well, you’re going to have to wait a while. A long while.

Rumors have been flying this week that George Lucas has shot 50 episodes of a live-action “Star Wars” TV series and that the shows are already “in the can.”

But while it’s true that Lucas has 50 completed scripts, a Lucasfilm spokesperson tells EW that he’s “waiting for a different type of technology we can use so it’s economically feasible to shoot the shows.”

Lucas announced last year that the live-action TV series — set between “Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope” — was being put on hold.

Well figure out that technology, damnit!  I want my Star Wars live-action tv show!!!  Curse you George Lucas and your denying me Star Wars stuff!!!

George Lucas, you have made me sad

George Lucas Vetoes Life-Sized AT-AT Walker

Did Mike Koehler go about creating the project the wrong way?  Probably, yes.  Could George have been super awesome and gave it his blessing anyway.  Definitely.  Did he do that?  No.

George Lucas has vetoed the creation of a life-sized fully functioning replica of the Galactic EmpireAT-AT walker, putting an end to the dreams that the armored troop carrier would one day walk among us.

How awesome would that have been?  FULLY-FUNCTIONING replica AT-AT!!!  😦

Leia in the Sky with Diamonds…

From a recent article at The Patriot Post:

Yup [Tea Party activists are just mad that there is an African-American president], and the fact that they chose to call themselves ‘teabaggers,’ which is slang for a certain act involving b—s. It sort of says a lot. I would say a mouthful. Looks like it’s very upsetting for them, but [Obama is] brilliant. The thing is, he’s half white but that’s still not enough — for them it’s all white or f–k off. I think we don’t deserve him and certainly teabaggers don’t deserve him.”

-actress Carrie Fisher, a.k.a. Princess Leia

*sigh*  And the brief response by the Patriot Post

Where to begin: Tea Party folks aren’t racist and did NOT choose a sexual slur as their name, but no, we don’t deserve what Obama is doing to us.

Now for my response.

Come on, guys, we can’t be too hard on her.  I mean, it’s not like she should actually know something about a small group of grass-roots, liberty-loving individuals rising up and fighting against a power-grabbing government leader and his czars that are attempting to take over the galaxy country.  Wait…

Han Solo Gets Engaged

Hmm… third Star Wars actor to be in the news in a week.  Interesting…

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart Engaged

At least this news is good news compared to the other two.
